Family and Individual Health Insurance in Washington

Here at C. Don Filer Agency Inc. you will find a great selection of Washington health / medical plans allowing you to choose insurance that will meet your Individual and or/ Small Group benefit needs while helping you stay within your budget.

Types of health plans we offer include:

  • Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) - A health insurance organization that gives you the ability to see the doctor you want without a PCP to authorize treatment.
  • Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) - A health insurance organization to which subscribers pay for medical services from physicians and healthcare workers registered with the organization.
  • Health Savings Accounts (HSA) - These plans are high deductible plans suited for healthier individuals/families and offer the most tax efficient strategies to pay for out of pocket medical, dental and vision costs.
  • Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) - A hybrid health insurance organization in where health care providers must be seen within a predetermined network.  Using other networks for visits require pre-authorization.
  • Short-term Health Insurance -  Plans that provide you with coverage for a limited period of time.  It might be an ideal option for those between jobs or waiting for their health insurance to start.  Typically, they offer durations of 30 to 90 days.

Individual health insurance is a type of health insurance coverage made available to individuals and their families.  It is an alternative for those who do not have access to a sponsored group plan.  For individuals, we can offer HMO, HSA or EPO plans and work with Premera Blue Cross, Kaiser Permanenete, Molina, and Ambetter Coordinated Care through the Washington Healthplanfinder.  We can also offer a short-term health insurance plan through LifeMap.

Small business group health insurance plans vary in coverage similar to individual health insurance.  They can insure the entire group of employees and dependents that need the coverage.  In some cases, plan costs are lower than similar benefits for individual coverage.  For small groups we can offer PPO, HMO or HSA plans and work with Regence Blue Shield, Premera Blue Cross, Kaiser Permanente, and UnitedHealthcare.

Health plans can vary in many ways including deductible amounts, coinsurance rates, maximum lifetime benefits how much prescriptions are covered, the size of the provider network, and more. Available health insurance plans vary also based on your geographic area and even zip code.
